We are standing inside one of the oldest homes in Weber County, and it happens to be the ancestral home of Hooper Mayor Dale Fowers, who graciously toured me around his city. His 2nd great grandparents, Jesse and Sarah Johnson Fowers, built this home in 1869. They chose to settle in Hooper—and many of their descendants continue to live and serve in this wonderful community today! I’m grateful to Mayor Fowers for this incredible tour and the important conversations about Utah’s future. He is a genuine, knowledgeable public servant.
